How will I know what to do when I arrive?

On arrival, you’ll be welcomed by sauna staff who will provide a short safety briefing and instructions on how to use the sauna. A staff member will be on hand throughout your session for any assistance.
How do I book?

Bookings are made via The Salty Finn website. Simply select your preferred date and session time using the booking calendar.

If booking for multiple people, select the number of spots using the drop-down menu. Private sessions can also be booked via the calendar. For longer bookings, please contact us via email.

We reserve the right to amend or remove session times if required.
How do I know your location?

As a mobile sauna, our location may change. Current and upcoming locations are published on our website and social media.

When booking, please ensure you select the correct date and location.
What should I bring with me?

As there is limited space, please ensure you bring minimal belongings with you. Although traditionally Finns would ‘bare all’ in the sauna, you will be required to wear appropriate swimwear. Bring some water and a towel for after swimming and some warm clothing to change back into after your session.

You are able to leave your belongings in the change room at your own risk.
Who is able to use the sauna?

Sauna use is not suitable for everyone. If you are pregnant or have any medical conditions, please seek advice from a healthcare professional prior to booking. See our terms and conditions.

All patrons acknowledge that sauna use carries inherent risks. A waiver must be completed at the time of booking.

Please listen to your body, stay hydrated, and take breaks as needed.

The Salty Finn Sauna is strictly drug and alcohol free.
What if I need to go to the toilet?

If you need to go to the toilet, the closest public access toilet will need to be used.
What is your cancellation policy?

You may reschedule your session with at least 24 hours’ notice

If your preferred time is unavailable, we will do our best to assist
Due to our mobile nature, we may not be at your preferred location when rescheduling.
Cancellations with less than 24 hours’ notice are not eligible for reschedule or credit.
We reserve the right to refuse entry to anyone who is intoxicated or deemed a safety risk. Refunds will not be provided in these circumstances.
Cancellation due to weather

While the sauna is designed for cold and varied conditions, sessions may be cancelled where weather is deemed unsafe.

You will be notified via SMS and email as soon as practicable and offered the option to reschedule or receive a credit.
What if I don't want to go into the water, or I am not confident in the ocean?

Use of the ocean or any body of water is entirely optional and at your own risk. It is your responsibility to ensure you are a capable swimmer and comfortable in cold and variable conditions. Alternative cooling options include beachside showers or simply using the ambient outdoor temperature.

There are no lifeguards or water safety personnel on duty.
What is your COVID-19 policy?

The sauna is well ventilated, with fresh air circulating throughout the space. The sauna and change areas are cleaned between sessions.
